The Sex Life YOU Want!
My partner and I have a problem with premature ejaculation and/or erectile dysfunction. We’ve tried a lot of things, but it is still wrecking havoc in our relationship. Can you help us?
Yes; Premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction are issues I work with frequently. I work with men and couples to determine the cause of the problem and help you develop the skills needed to create and maintain a lifelong solution to the problem.

Are you a Tantra Teacher?
Tantra is a wonderful spiritual practice that takes many years to master. In the West, most Tantra teachers and workshops leaders do not teach the entire spiritual practice. Instead, they focus on a small portion of the practice: sexuality and sensuality.
I have a background in Tantra and incorporate some of these methods into my work with some clients. However, I do not consider myself to be a Tantra Teacher.

I am nervous about Sex Education and Counseling. How can I be sure that the work we do together will be a good experience for me?

I have many years of experience and hundreds of happy clients. All of my work is based on informed consent; I will strive to educate you about my methods and your options for help. You will always have choice about how we work together.
Also, because I want you to positively transform your sex life forever, Sex Education and Counseling is 100% guaranteed. If you are not satisfied, you owe nothing.

What makes Sex Education and Counseling different from other types of counseling, like life coaching?

Life coaching focuses on your personal or business goals, which is a worthwhile pursuit.  Sex Education and Counseling focuses on your erotic goals. Most life coaches would not feel comfortable talking about sex with their clients nor are they trained to work with sexual issues and concerns. However, I am trained in sexology and somatic therapy and will feel honored to help you have the greatest sex life you can imagine!

How is Sex Education and Counseling different from traditional sex therapy?
Sex therapy usually focuses on sexual problems from only a medical or psychological dysfunction perspective. Therapy usually ends when the difficulty is resolved and can often last a long time. Sex therapy relies on talk modalities to achieve it’s results and has a “good-enough” perspective on sexuality that rarely addresses sexual enhancement.
Sex Education and Counseling however, focuses on problem solving as well as sexual enhancement and expansion. I am a highly trained sexologist, and can provide you with all the current information that a sex therapist can provide, with the addition of experiential, body-based therapy. This approach often results in much quicker transformation than traditional sex therapy and will give you access to “ecstatic” sexuality, rather than “good-enough” sexuality.

Can’t I just read a book or article and learn to have a great sex life?
While there are many books and articles available on sexual techniques, and some of these are very good, learning how to have a great sex life is much more complicated than learning a technique.  Skills like: confidence, presence, sexual empathy and creativity (to name a few), are learned experientially and cannot be learned from a book or an article. Sex Education and  Counseling will help you learn all these important skills with body-based, experiential methods that will ensure your success.

Can’t I just buy my partner a new toy or rent an erotic movie to make our sex life more exciting?
Toys and movies can be fun and I do recommend them. However, the process of choosing the right toy or movie can be daunting! Most people don’t have enough information about which toys or movies will work for themselves and/or their partners.
Sex Education and Counseling will help you learn about what turns you and your partner on. I will help you talk openly and honesty about your desires and boundaries so that you can experiment with new toys or movies in ways that are more likely “hit the spot”. I have seen couples’ sex lives get really fired up with only a few sessions focused on learning about their desires and boundaries in a safe, non-shaming environment.

I’ve noticed that there are other sexuality teachers, sex workshops and sex coaches in the San Francisco Bay area. Why should I choose to work with you?
I have close to 20 years of experience in the holistic and somatic healing arts and I am very well networked with other professionals. I regularly consult with other sex experts, read extensively, and frequently attend professional training's and conferences in order to stay up to date with the latest sexuality research. I will always refer you to someone else if I believe you are better served elsewhere.
I am a true professional: I will be on time, provide a clean, professional environment, and treat you with respect and kindness. I adhere to strict client confidentiality and I have clear, therapeutic boundaries as well.

I want to spice up my sex life with my partner. Does he/she need to go to counseling with me?
I always encourage people in a relationship to include their partner in counseling. I understand that some people either don’t want their partner to attend or that the partner does not want to attend counseling. In this case, I recommend open communication to avoid potentially difficult issues arising later.
That being said, no, your partner does not need to come. There are many sexual skills that you will learn that you can bring home and practice with your partner; he/she will thank you!

Do you only work with heterosexual people? How about people in open or “non-traditional” relationships?
No, I work with singles and couples of all sexual orientations. The skills required to be an excellent lover are the same regardless of sexual orientation.
I understand the unique difficulties that people in “non-traditional” relationships face. I will create a safe environment for you (and your partner/s) to create the amazing sex life that you want…free from shame or judgment.

Do you work with people into different styles of sexual expression, like BDSM, Kink and Fetish?

Absolutely. I will create a safe container for you to explore your sexual desires, whatever form they take. In addition, if you are wanting to learn specific techniques, I can also refer you to excellent professionals skilled in the areas you are most interested in.

I’ve noticed that you are a massage therapist. Will you give me a massage?
I no longer schedule clients for massage. My work is now focused on sexual health, education and counseling.

My doctor says that I need prescription drugs in order to solve my sexual problems. Will counseling help me avoid using drugs?  Can I do counseling while I am on sexual enhancement drugs?
Maybe and yes!
It is true that some types of sexual difficulties are rooted in medical conditions such as hormonal imbalances, blood pressure problems and pelvic floor imbalances.  It is also true that many sexual problems have a psychological component or a combination of mental/emotional and physical components. Sex Education and Counseling focuses on mindfully experiencing body sensations and releasing tension, shame and trauma. This process dramatically lowers physical and mental stress and anxiety levels, which are major sources of sexual difficulties. As stress levels decline, sexual health usually increases.
I have worked with clients taking different types of medications. I always advise them to have their doctor continue to monitor their condition. It is possible that their medication dosage will need to be lowered or stopped as their stress levels decline and sexual satisfaction increases.
